Category: How-to Guides

Learn how to install a freestanding triple monitor stand for 22–32 inch displays. Follow these steps for a stable sim racing or flight sim setup.

Quick answer

Assemble the base, attach the vertical post, mount the crossbar, then attach each monitor arm. Level and tighten all bolts before connecting your displays.

Before you begin

This guide is for the Trak Racer Freestanding Triple Monitor Stand, which supports 22–32 inch displays. The stand uses 2-inch steel tube construction for stability.

Make sure you have a clear workspace and two people for lifting the assembled frame. The stand ships unassembled; all hardware is included.

Installation steps

  1. 1. Assemble the base: Attach the four base legs to the central hub using the provided bolts. Tighten evenly with the included Allen wrench. Common mistake: Overtightening one leg before the others can warp the base. Tighten in a star pattern.
  2. 2. Install the vertical post: Slide the main vertical tube into the base hub and secure it with the locking collar. Ensure it sits flush. Checkpoint: The collar must be fully engaged; a loose post will cause monitor sag.
  3. 3. Attach the crossbar assembly: With a helper, lift the crossbar onto the vertical post. Align the mounting bracket and tighten the clamp bolts. Common mistake: Forgetting to level the crossbar before tightening can cause uneven monitor heights.
  4. 4. Mount the monitor arms: Slide each VESA plate arm onto the crossbar in the desired position. Tighten the set screws to prevent sliding. Checkpoint: Leave the arms slightly loose until all three are positioned; then final-tighten.
  5. 5. Attach monitors and adjust: Hang each monitor on its VESA plate and secure with the thumb screws. Adjust tilt, swivel, and height for a seamless curve. Common mistake: Mounting monitors before tightening the arm clamps can cause the crossbar to shift under load.
